Magic Kingdom: Best Restaurants for Every Appetite

Magic Kingdom is known for its iconic castle and classic attractions, but the food scene has really improved in recent years. While it was once considered the weakest dining park, there are now several standout restaurants worth your time and money.
Table Service Standouts
Four table service restaurants make our list.
1. Jungle Navigation Co. Skipper Canteen

Hidden in Adventureland, Jungle Navigation Co. Skipper Canteen brings the humor and adventure of the Jungle Cruise ride to your dining table. The menu features exotic flavors from Asia, South America, and Africa, much more interesting than typical theme park food!
The “Tastes like Chicken” Because it is! dish (actually crispy-fried chicken) and the Falls Family Falafel are guest favorites. What makes this spot special is the theming and the servers, who tell corny jokes just like the Jungle Cruise skippers. Plus, it’s often easier to get a last-minute reservation here than at other table service spots.
2. Liberty Tree Tavern

Step back in time to colonial America at this hearty, all-you-care-to-enjoy restaurant in Liberty Square. The Patriot’s Platter comes loaded with roasted turkey, pot roast, and pork with all the fixings, basically like Thanksgiving dinner every day of the year!
At $42 per adult and $23 per child, Liberty Tree Tavern is one of the better values for a table service meal in Magic Kingdom, especially considering the unlimited food. The cozy atmosphere with rooms dedicated to the Founding Fathers makes dining here an American experience.
3. Be Our Guest Restaurant

Dine inside the Beast’s castle from “Beauty and the Beast” in what might be the most elaborately themed restaurant in Disney World. The grand ballroom with snow falling outside the windows, the forbidden West Wing with the enchanted rose, and the Castle Gallery with Belle and Beast dancing are all stunning.
The food at Be Our Guest Restaurant is French-inspired and served prix fixe style at $67 per adult. While pricey, the immersive atmosphere makes this a magical experience, especially for Beauty and the Beast fans. Don’t miss the “Grey Stuff” dessert—it’s delicious!
4. Cinderella’s Royal Table

Eating inside Cinderella Castle is a bucket-list experience for many Disney visitors. Meeting Disney princesses while dining in the castle’s royal dining hall creates memories that last a lifetime. The food is surprisingly good (the beef tenderloin is excellent), but you’re really paying for the experience and the princess interactions.
At around $69 per adult and $41 per child, Cinderella’s Royal Table is one of the most expensive restaurants in Magic Kingdom, but for princess fans, it’s worth every penny.
Quick Service Stars
Don’t forget about these quick-service restaurants at Magic Kingdom on your next visit!
Columbia Harbour House

Columbia Harbour House is a New England-inspired seafood spot in Liberty Square, which is widely considered the best quick-service restaurant in Magic Kingdom. The lobster roll, grilled salmon, and fried shrimp basket offer a welcome change from typical theme park burgers.
A hidden gem is the upstairs seating area, which is usually much quieter than the main floor and offers a perfect retreat from the park crowds. It’s my go-to spot when I need a peaceful lunch break.
Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe

Located in Frontierland, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe is a large quick-service restaurant that serves Tex-Mex fare, including fajitas, nachos, and rice bowls. What makes Pecos Bill’s special is the extensive toppings bar where you can load up your meal with guacamole, salsa, cheese, and more at no extra cost.
The portion sizes are generous, making this one of the better values in the park. Plus, the air conditioning makes it a welcome escape on hot Florida days.
Casey’s Corner

Casey’s Corner, a Main Street hot dog joint, is a Magic Kingdom classic. The specialty hot dogs (topped with mac and cheese, chili, or buffalo chicken) are perfect for eating while people-watching on Main Street. Their corn dog nuggets are also a guest favorite and great for sharing.
The outdoor seating offers great views of the castle, making it an ideal spot to rest while still enjoying the Magic Kingdom atmosphere.
Best Snacks and Treats
Magic Kingdom is home to some of Disney World’s most iconic snacks. Don’t miss:
- Dole Whip at Aloha Isle in Adventureland
- Mickey-shaped ice cream bars from various carts
- Churros from various carts throughout the park
- Fresh popcorn from the Main Street popcorn cart
- Mickey pretzels with cheese sauce

EPCOT: Culinary Adventures Around the World

EPCOT is widely known as the “foodie park” at Disney World, and for good reason! With 11 countries in World Showcase offering authentic cuisine from around the globe, plus innovative dining in Future World, EPCOT is a food lover’s paradise.
World Showcase Treasures
With 11 countries to visit, World Showcase has no shortage of delectable bites. Here are our top four favorites.
Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria (Italy)

This authentic Italian pizzeria serves some of the best pizza you’ll find outside of Naples. The wood-fired ovens (named after Italian volcanoes—Vesuvio, Etna, and Stromboli) produce perfectly crispy yet chewy crusts with classic toppings.
The large pizzas at Via Nopoli are excellent for sharing, making this a good value for families. Beyond pizza, their arancini (fried risotto balls) and lasagna also receive high praise (from yours truly, an authentic Italian). The bright, airy dining room has a lively atmosphere that captures the spirit of Italy.
Le Cellier Stakehouse (Canada)

Hidden inside a cozy cellar in the Canada pavilion, Le Cellier Steakhouse is one of EPCOT’s most popular restaurants. The Canadian cheddar cheese soup and pretzel bread are legendary starters, while the filet mignon with truffle butter sauce is a guest favorite.
This is one of EPCOT’s pricier restaurants (around $60+ per entrée), but the quality of the steaks and the intimate atmosphere make it a special occasion spot. Make reservations well in advance, because Le Cellier books up quickly!
Takumi-Tei (Japan)

For the ultimate fine dining experience in EPCOT, Takumi-Tei offers an upscale Japanese culinary journey. The omakase (chef’s choice) multi-course meal showcases seasonal ingredients with artistic presentation. At $250 per person, it’s among Disney’s most expensive restaurants, but the craftsmanship and quality are outstanding.
Each dining room represents a natural element (water, wood, earth, stone, or washi paper), creating a serene, elegant atmosphere away from the park crowds.
Biergarten (Germany)

This festive German buffet recreates an Oktoberfest celebration year-round. Long communal tables, a live oompah band, and a huge spread of German specialties like schnitzel, spaetzle, bratwurst, and pretzel rolls make Biergarten one of the most fun dining experiences at EPCOT.
The all-you-care-to-enjoy format ($48 per adult) provides great value, especially for hearty eaters. The entertainment makes this a hit with families, and the German beer selection impresses adults.
Future World Favorites
World Showcase isn’t the only one with delicious bites! Here are three restaurants in Future World that top our list.
Space 220

Board a “space elevator” that takes you 220 miles above Earth to this space-themed restaurant with panoramic views of the planet below and astronauts floating outside your window. The immersive experience is unlike anything else at Disney World.
The prix fixe menu (lunch $55, dinner $79) at Space 220 features upscale American cuisine with space-themed names. While the food is good (not amazing), you’re really paying for the out-of-this-world atmosphere and stunning visuals. Reservations are extremely difficult to get, so book exactly 60 days in advance.
Garden Grill

This rotating restaurant slowly revolves above the Living with the Land attraction, giving diners changing views of various scenes. Character dining with Mickey, Pluto, Chip, and Dale in their farmer outfits makes Garden Grill a fun choice for kids (and kids at heart).
The all-you-care-to-enjoy family-style meal features many ingredients grown right in EPCOT’s greenhouses, including fresh vegetables and herbs. The sustainable food focus and character interactions make this a special experience.

Connections Eatery

Connections Eatery is a modern quick-service spot in World Celebration that offers globally-inspired dishes at reasonable prices. The French bistro burger, Mediterranean flatbread, and liège waffles are standout options.
The spacious seating area with floor-to-ceiling windows makes this a comfortable place to relax during a busy EPCOT day. It’s also home to Starbucks coffee, if you need a caffeine boost.
Hidden Gems and Lounges
But that’s not all! Don’t miss these often overlooked dining options the next time you visit EPCOT.
La Cava del Tequila (Mexico)

La Cava del Tequila is located inside the Mexico pavilion and serves over 200 tequilas, creative margaritas, and small plates. The avocado margarita has a cult following, and the atmosphere is cozy and authentic.
No reservations are accepted, so expect a wait during peak times, but the special drinks make it worth your patience.
Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar (Italy)

Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar is a cozy wine bar that offers Italian wines, charcuterie, and small plates in a relaxed setting. It’s perfect for a break from the EPCOT crowds, and you often don’t need a reservation.

Hollywood Studios: Dining Amidst the Action

Hollywood Studios has transformed in recent years from a half-day park to a full-day experience with the addition of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land. The dining options have improved too, with themed restaurants that put you right in the middle of the action.
Themed Dining Experiences
Hollywood Studios has several restaurants that could’ve made this list, but after narrowing it down, here are our top four.
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater

At Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater, you can eat in a car-shaped booth while watching sci-fi movie clips from the 1950s. The dimly lit space recreates a drive-in theater at night, complete with a starry sky and vintage cars.
The American comfort food (burgers, sandwiches, milkshakes) isn’t groundbreaking, but the immersive atmosphere makes this a must-do Hollywood Studios experience. The “Drive-in BBQ Burger” and the house-made candy bar are standout menu items.
50’s Prime Time Café

Step back to the 1950s at 50’s Prime Time Café, designed to look like a mid-century American home. The waitstaff act as your “cousins” or “aunts” and aren’t afraid to remind you to keep your elbows off the table or finish your vegetables!
The comfort food menu includes pot roast, fried chicken, meatloaf, and other classic American dishes. The interactive experience and home-style cooking make this a fun choice for families who can handle a little friendly teasing with their meal.
Hollywood Brown Derby

This replica of the famous Hollywood landmark restaurant offers a taste of old Hollywood glamour. The walls at Hollywood Brown Derby are covered with caricatures of famous celebrities, just like the original Brown Derby.
Their signature Cobb salad (invented at the original Brown Derby) and the grapefruit cake are must-try items. The sophisticated atmosphere and excellent service make this one of the best signature dining experiences in any Disney park.
Roundup Rodeo BBQ

The newest table service restaurant at Hollywood Studios, Roundup Rodeo BBQ, is located in Toy Story Land. The immersive theming makes you feel like you’re in a play set that Andy built using his toys.
The all-you-care-to-enjoy family-style BBQ menu includes smoked meats, macaroni and cheese, and other comfort food classics. The playful atmosphere and unlimited food make this a good choice for families, though at $45 per adult, it’s not the cheapest option.

Star Wars Dining Options

So you’ve decided to dine in a galaxy far, far away? Great choice! With one of the most immersive lands, Hollywood Studios offers some incredibly detailed restaurants in Galaxy’s Edge.
Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo

Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo serves as the main quick-service restaurant in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, offering “Batuuan Beef Pot Roast” and “Felucian Garden Spread” (a plant-based meatball dish).
The themed interior feels like you’re dining in a working cargo bay on the planet Batuu. The food quality is several steps above typical theme park fare, with fresh ingredients and interesting flavor combinations.
Oga’s Cantina

This lively Star Wars bar is one of the most immersive experiences in Galaxy’s Edge. With a talkative droid DJ, exotic “otherworldly” cocktails, and a bustling atmosphere, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped right into the Star Wars universe at Oga’s Cantina.
Reservations are a must, and time limits (usually 45 minutes) are strictly enforced due to high demand. Most seating is standing-room-only at high-top tables, but the atmosphere alone is worth it, even if you’re not a Star Wars fan.
Ronto Roasters

Ronto Roasters is a quick-service stand known for one thing: the Ronto Wrap. This delicious handheld meal combines roasted pork, grilled sausage, peppercorn sauce, and tangy slaw in a warm pita. It’s widely considered one of the best quick-service items in any Disney park.
The theming includes a large podracing engine used as a “grill” with a droid turning the spit. It’s perfect for a quick meal while exploring Galaxy’s Edge.
Quick Bites Worth Your Time
Hollywood Studios continues to surprise us with its updates over the years, and the quick-service bites are easily becoming our favorites at Disney World.
ABC Commissary
Recently upgraded with a much-improved menu, this quick-service restaurant has gone from forgettable to fantastic. The Mediterranean salad, buffalo chicken grilled cheese, and shrimp tacos are all well above average theme park food at ABC Commissary.
The spacious, air-conditioned dining room provides a welcome break from the Florida heat, and mobile ordering makes it a convenient option during busy periods.

Woody’s Lunch Box

Woody’s Lunch Box is a quick-service spot in Toy Story Land that serves nostalgic comfort food, including the famous “Totchos” (tater tot nachos) and grilled three-cheese sandwiches with tomato soup.
The outdoor seating is limited and offers little shade, so this is best for a quick bite during cooler parts of the day or as a to-go option.
Fairfax Fare

This often-overlooked quick-service spot on Sunset Boulevard has reinvented itself with delicious waffle bowls filled with buffalo chicken, barbecue pork, or plant-based options. The hearty portions at Fairfax Fare and the presentation make this a hidden gem.

Animal Kingdom: Exotic Flavors and Settings

Animal Kingdom offers some of the most interesting food at Disney World, with flavors inspired by Africa, Asia, and other global cuisines. The park’s focus on conservation extends to its restaurants, many of which feature sustainable and plant-based options.
Signature Dining
There may not be as many signature dining spots at Animal Kingdom compared to the other parks, but the ones here are good. Real good.
1. Tiffins

This signature restaurant celebrates the spirit of adventure and travel that inspired Animal Kingdom itself. The dining rooms are filled with artwork and artifacts from the Imagineers’ research trips around the world when designing the park.
At Tiffins, the globally-inspired menu includes items like Tamarind-glazed Sustainable Fish, North African-spiced Lamb, or South American-influenced Butter Chicken. While expensive (entrees $35-50), the mouthwatering flavors and stunning presentation make this one of Disney World’s best restaurants.
2. Yak & Yeti Restaurant

Yak & Yeti is a pan-Asian restaurant in the Asia section of the park that serves delicious dishes from Nepal, India, China, and Thailand. The beautifully themed dining rooms are filled with Southeast Asian artifacts and art, creating a rich, immersive atmosphere.
Popular dishes include the Ahi Tuna Nachos, Firecracker Shrimp, and Miso Salmon. The diverse menu has options for both adventurous eaters and those who prefer more familiar flavors.
Character Dining
There’s only one character dining experience at Animal Kingdom, but it’s a good one, because you get to see Mickey and his friends in their safari outfits!
Tusker House Restaurant

Located in the Africa section of the park, Tusker House offers a character dining experience with Mickey, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy in their safari outfits. The buffet features both African-inspired dishes and American favorites.
The spice-crusted roast beef, Moroccan-spiced salmon, and plant-based options make this one of the more interesting character dining buffets. At $62 for adults and $40 for children, it’s comparable to other character meals around Disney World.
Casual Dining at Animal Kingdom
Even the quick-service restaurants at Animal Kingdom offer several mouthwatering options.
Satu’li Canteen

Located in Pandora – The World of Avatar, this Satu’li Canteen serves some of the healthiest and most innovative food in any Disney park. The build-your-own bowl concept lets you choose a protein (grilled chicken, beef, fish, or plant-based), base (rice, quinoa, or noodles), and sauce.
The restaurant’s design suggests a former RDA facility converted by the Na’vi, with beautiful art and cultural items throughout. The focus on fresh, high-quality ingredients makes this a standout quick-service option.
Flame Tree Barbecue

Flame Tree Barbecue is an outdoor quick-service restaurant that, true to its name, serves some of the best barbecue in Disney World. The smoked meats (particularly the St. Louis ribs and pulled pork sandwich) have a loyal following among fellow Disney fans.
The real bonus is the stunning waterfront seating area with views of Expedition Everest across the lake. It’s a peaceful spot to enjoy a hearty meal away from the crowds.
Harambe Market

This open-air quick-service spot in the Africa section serves street food-inspired dishes like African-spiced ribs, grilled chicken, and sausages. The detailed theming at Harambe Market makes you feel like you’re in an actual African marketplace.
The covered seating areas provide shade while maintaining the outdoor market atmosphere. It’s a great option for something a little different from typical theme park fare.
Best Lounge in Disney World
Animal Kingdom more than makes up for its smaller number of restaurants with its exclusive lounge. This is by far the best lounge on Disney property.
Nomad Lounge

Connected to Tiffins but far easier to get into, Nomad Lounge might be Disney World’s best-kept secret. The gorgeous indoor lounge and outdoor covered deck offer comfortable seating, exotic cocktails, and excellent small plates.
No reservations are accepted, but it’s often possible to walk up without much of a wait, especially early or late in the day. The lounge chairs and relaxed atmosphere provide a perfect mid-day break from park exploration.
